Not guilty plea for teen caught with former Commissioner Bigelow
FORT MYERS, Fla. - A 19-year-old Fort Myers teenager arrested while with former Lee County Commissioner Brian Bigelow plead not guilty Monday to felony and misdemeanor charges for drug possession and driving without a license.
Scott Moorey, the attorney for David Henley, told FOX 4 News that entered that plea for his client at a hearing.
Henley was behind the wheel of a car with Bigelow when a deputy stopped the pair after they visited a known drug house in the Tice community.
Investigators say a small amount of cocaine and marijuana was found on Henley.
Bigelow was cited for allowing Henley to get behind the wheel of a car he had rented.
Bigelow has told FOX 4 News that he's innocent.
