New VA clinic dedicated in Cape Coral
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A new VA outpatient clinic was dedicated Friday morning in Cape Coral. The $80 million state-of-the-art health care facility is 220,000 square feet and four times larger than the current Fort Myers clinic that it will replace.
The sleek new state-of-the-art health care center is 220,000 square feet and four times larger than the current Fort Myers location.
The center will provide urgent care, dental services, surgeries and include a women's health center.
Under a new law, the VA will also be adding increased mental health experts to help soldiers battling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD.
The public is invited to visit the new facility on Saturday on December 8th from Noon to 3 p.m.
The new VA clinic at 2489 Diplomat Parkway East in Cape Coral will open its doors for use on Tuesday December 18.
