Law enforcement fights against distracted driving
LEE COUNTY - Did you know that December is national drunk, drugged, distracted, and drowsy driving month?
Law enforcement from across Southwest Florida and Lee Memorial Health System professionals are asking you to be especially vigilant during the holidays.
Don't drink and drive. Also, keep in mind that some prescription drugs can have the same effect. And of course, they want you to stop texting behind the wheel.
Last year during the holidays Lee Memorial Trauma services treated more than 200 people involved in wrecks, including six deaths.
