Elderly man killed in Lehigh Acres accident
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - An 86-year-old Lehigh Acres man was struck and killed as she tried to cross Sunshine Boulevard just before dawn this morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Belen Segarra was trying to walk from the west side to the east side of Sunshine Boulevard in the vicinity of 7th Street SW when a Lexus SUV driven by 62-year-old Virginia Moori struck and killed him.
Lehigh Acres Fire Rescue pronounced Segarra dead on the scene.
The driver was not cited.
