Detzner looking for answers on voting problems
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida's top elections officials are heading out over the next few days to visit a handful of counties that had problems during the recent general election.
Secretary of State Ken Detzner told a Senate panel Tuesday that he will report back to them next month on those findings.
Sen. Jack Latvala said afterward that he wants to know why Palm Beach County seems to always have problems with elections and whether some county supervisors lack the appropriate training to be successful.

There were issues in some areas of Florida last month when some voters had to stand in long lines during early voting. Gov. Rick Scott subsequently urged lawmakers to look at what changes may be needed.
