WFTX - Just when you thought election season was over, think again. More than 50 million people, including 141,980 seniors and other Medicare beneficiaries in the Ft. Myers area, have another chance to vote this fall. This time, they’ll be electing their Medicare coverage for 2013.

Seniors and other beneficiaries have until Dec. 7 to enroll in or make changes to their Medicare coverage for next year.

While the presidential election brought a lot of attention to Medicare, it also left many seniors feeling uncertain about how the outcome would impact their Medicare coverage.

With that uncertainty behind us, beneficiaries can focus their energies on casting their Medicare vote for 2013. With less than a month left in the enrollment period, now is the time for beneficiaries to take action and choose their coverage for next year.
