LEE COUNTY - Is the world really going to end next month??  The ancient Mayan calendar ends on December 21st ... And tonight we're searching for the truth in an unconventional way. Four in your Corner's Mike Mason is talking to a famous Florida psychic who's in town to share her predictions.

 
A lot of people are searching for answers to some big questions.  Is the world about to end?  Are we about to fall off that fiscal cliff? Will someone win the Powerball tonight? We posed these questions to the psychic.
 
MaryAlice Warren began our reading using an amethyst crystal pendulum.
 
MaryAlice Warren: "It really works, and it will tell you yes and it will give me a no."
 
For the past 40 years MaryAlice has been predicting the future.....she'll read tarot cards and your palm....but does she really hold the cards to the world's biggest question?
 
Mike Mason: "So we want to know if the world is going to end next month."
MaryAlice Warren: "Okay pull 3 cards."
 
On the night of the full moon...this seasoned psychic predicts the sun will rise again on December 22nd.....although the ancient Mayan calendar ends next month.
 
MaryAlice Warren: "Had they been around and been able to endure ‘til the end of this they would have had another calendar."
Mike Mason: "But a lot of people think the world's going to simply end."
MaryAlice Warren: "Well, they're wrong."
 
We asked MaryAlice about the financial future of the United States.
 
Mike Mason: "Is our economy going to fail? We're talking about this fiscal cliff.
 
MaryAlice Warren: "Okay, and I'll pull 3 and I want you to pull 3 and I do it just like this. This says don't worry, everything is under control don't lose sleep over it. There is a rebuilding that's going on. This is stability coming in where our financial situation is concerned and here is a leader that will come forth that is not the President, it's someone else that we don't know yet.”
 
And something many Floridians are betting on.....will someone win the half billion dollar Powerball?
 
MaryAlice Warren: "The way I interpret this is no, nobody's going to win it. If I'm wrong about that.....
Mike Mason: "There goes your credibility."
MaryAlice Warren: "There it goes."
 
MaryAlice thinks there will be several winners of the Powerball but not necessarily one who gets every number correct.  Only time will find out if her predictions are right.
