Known burglar sought in North Fort Myers break-ins
NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's assistance to find a known burglar, now suspect in at least two North Fort Myers break-in's over the last week.
Detectives believe 33-year-old Brian Kolpack burglarized two homes.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office reports the first break in happened on Hollyberry Court on November 15th. A neighbor spotted a broken window at the home and the front door pried off. The homeowner was out of town but the neighbor says a large flat screen television was taken. Surveillance video shows a white male riding in the neighborhood on a bike with a flat screen TV under one arm. Investigators believe it was Kolpack.
Two days later a second home was broken into at Laurel Estates. Again the homeowners were out of town but neighbors noticed that a front window had been pried open. Detectives found the home had been ransacked.
Kolpack has been jailed 14 times in Lee County on a wide variety of charges from cocaine trafficking to fraud and dealing in stolen property. Kolpack is a registered convicted felon, believed to be laying low in the North Fort Myers area.
Anyone with information with Kolpack's whereabouts could earn some extra holiday cash by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
