Florida unemployment takes a huge tumble
Jobs picture improves in Southwest Florida
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Unemployment in Florida dropped a whopping 1.7 percent in October. The jobless rate hit its lowest levels in four years.
Unemployment fell from 10.2 percent in September to 8.5 percent in October. The state says 12,100 new private sector jobs were added.
The good news held true for counties across Southwest Florida as the unemployment rate fell in each of the six area counties.
The jobless numbers for counties in Southwest Florida are as follows:
