Boil Water Notice

FORT MYERS- Lee County Utilities is issuing a boil water notice for certain parts of South Fort Myers after  A 12” water line ruptured this morning. Lee County Utilities crews repaired the damaged around 7 p.m. tonight.

A boil water notice has been issued for the following area: Both sides of McGregor Blvd from Kelly Rd heading East to San Carlos Blvd, Kelly Rd from McGregor Blvd to Chance Way, 16081 and 16031 Kelly Woods Dr. This will also include the following subdivisions : McGregor Woods subdivision, Manor Care assisted living, Windward Way subdivision, Mandolin Bay Villa's and the Iona School professional center.  

As a precaution, all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled at a rolling boil for one minute, or as an alternative, bottled water may be used.  This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until bacteriological test shows that the water is safe to drink.  Test results will take approximately 48-72 hours.
