Collier County sees record voter turnout
NAPLES, Fla. - Voters in Collier County hit the polls in record numbers Tuesday.
Collier set a new county record for voter turnout with 83 percent of registered voters casting a ballot.
It was the highest voter turnout in all of Florida.
Nearly 150,000 Collier voters took part in the 2012 General Election surpassing the turnout in 2008 by about 7,000.
The number of ballots cast will continue to increase as military absentee/mail ballots are returned by their November 16th deadline.
