Obama Ft. Myers office burglarized
LEE COUNTY, Fla. - The Obama/Biden campaign headquarters office in Ft. Myers was burglarized sometime overnight Saturday into Sunday according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
A staffer called the authorities just after 7:00 a.m. Sunday to report the front door had been smashed and broken.
The employee told authorities that no computers had been stolen or tampered with at the office on Gladiolus Drive. The employee also reported that there were no political statements or 'acts of graffiti' left behind. The employee reports the only thing that was taken was an envelope with money inside.
The sheriff's office reports that surveillance cameras captured images of a man in the area at the time when the office was broken into. Authorities describe this man as a person of interest. They describe him as a young while man with dark hair wearing shorts and sandals and carrying a backpack.
