Gas is plenty, but lines are long in the Northeast
STATEN ISLAND - A gas shortage in the wake of superstorm Sandy forming never-ending lines at the nearest pumps in the Northeast.
Dozens of cars snaking for miles at the few gas stations that were able to pump fuel.
It's day four without power for many folks and residents waking up at the crack of dawn hoping to avoid the wait of the long lines.
Officials say more than half of all gasoline services in the New York and New Jersey area are shut down due to power outages and storm damage.
