2 felons arrested in Port Charlotte theft
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County detectives arrested two convicted felons for stealing items from Port Charlotte home and selling them to a recycling business.
24-year-old Angela Lynn Galeone 26-year-old Shane Michael Breton were arrested on charges of Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property, and False Verification of Ownership.
On October 17th the owners of a home in the 21900 block of Buxton Avenue reported numbers items stolen from their home including rain gutters, aluminum windows, a microwave and other household items. The owners told investigator a former roommate, Shane Breton, may be responsible for the theft.
Detectives determined that Breton's girlfriend, Angela Galeone, had sold the items to Allied Recycling in Port Charlotte. Detectives obtained the transaction form from Allied Recycling that Galeone signed along with her photo ID and thumbprint. Also found was video showing the white work style van backing up to unload the stolen window panes, pots and pans, and other items. The stolen items were positively identified by the owners. The investigation continues by detectives.
Galeone and Breton were arrested early this morning and remain in jail on no bond.
