FORT MYERS, Fla. - Wedding dress blues for a mother of the bride.

Mercedes Charneco bought a dress and two veils for her daughter from a Ft. Myers dress shop but never received them.

It's not the first time we've heard complaints about the store involved, 'Lace and Roses.'

This past summer, a couple came to Fox 4 saying they bought tuxes from the shop but never received them before the shop suddenly closed. A Four In Your Corner Troubleshooter stepped in and was able to get the groom a full refund from the shop's owner.

Four In Your Corner's Colleen Hogan is trying to get Charneco's money back as well.

"It was gorgeous," Charneco said. "It was all lace."

Memories and receipts are all the mother of the bride has left. She paid more than $1,500 for a dress and two veils she never received.

"It was a sacrifice for us," she said, of the items they purchased through lay-a-way, "but we did it with pleasure because it was for our daughter."

Charneco shows the receipts showing the dress and veils were paid off from the 'Lace and Roses' dress shop on Metro Parkway in Ft. Myers.

"My daughter's dress was paid off," she said. "Where is that dress?"

It's a question she's been trying to get answered for seven months. She either wants the dress and veils, or her money back.

We tracked down one of the shop owner's numbers but had to leave a message. So we headed over to the shop to see if anyone was there. The place was completely empty.

"I just want what is mine, that's all," she said.

We'll keep trying to get a response from the shop's owner.
