Naples/Lely Coconut Bowl trophy gets new name
NAPLES, Fla. - Collier County's longest running high school football rivalry takes to the field this Friday when Lely High School hosts Naples High School for the 39th annual Coconut Bowl.
This year's contest will match an undefeated Naples Golden Eagles team against a struggling Lely Trojans squad.
The teams will play for the newly named trophy. "The Coconut Bowl Trophy" will officially be re-named "The Joe Kilmas Trophy."
Klimas was a long-time radio broadcaster who passed away from cancer in August at the age of 74.
