NAPLES, Fla.- A Naples woman wants to know if taxpayer funded phones are being used to poll voters. She says a phone call last night makes her think "yes."

Both political parties are trying to gain Robin MacMillan's vote. Her mailbox is flooded with fliers and this is just Thursday's mail.

Most of the mail, she just tosses, but it is a phone call last night that has her thinking.

"The caller said she was representing the AFT which is the American Federation of Teachers, I believe," said MacMillan.

The caller said she was taking a poll and asked if she was voting for President Obama or Republican Mitt Romney.

"I told her I'd be voting for Romney and she said thank you very much and hung up."

But, it's what showed up on her caller ID that got Robin questioning where these calls are being made.

"The caller ID said it was Collier County Education and those are obviously paid for by county paid taxpayer funds."

So are school district phones being used to poll voters? Fox 4 dug into this one and turns out the phone call Robin received is from the Collier County Education Association, a Florida union...not the school district.

The Education Association says after hours, they let volunteers from labor unions like the AFL-CIO use their phones.

They also tells us Robin is not the first one concerned about where these calls are coming from.
