FORT MYERS, Fla. -  Thousands of Zombies will come to Fort Myers this weekend for Zombicon. Fox 4 Rising's Alex Butler spent the morning with some zombies and zombie makeup artists from Sunstate Academy.

Zombicon will be a three day event for the very first time this year featuring celebrities, live bands, zombies and more. Over 35,000 people are expected to attend this weekends events. The Saturday night street festival is free, it will feature several live bands, DJ's, plus the famous "Zombie Walk" along the streets of Downtown Ft Myers. For more information and tickets to the convention go to: www.zombicon.com

 

Zombicon 2012

Harborside Event Center, 1375 Monroe St. 

 

 

FRIDAY: VIP kickoff  party from 6-11 p.m. at Harborside Event Center

SATURDAY: Zombicon street fest from 6 p.m. to midnight 

Zombie Walk at 7:30 p.m. 

Zombicon Convention

SATURDAY/SUNDAY:10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be a $1 discounton tickets for every canned-food item donated (max of $5 per ticket). The food is to benefit The Harry Chapin Food Bank.
