Scott does 'work day' at Florida crime laboratory
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Florida Gov. Rick Scott has put in another "Let's Get to Work Day," this time as a crime laboratory analyst.
Scott on Thursday helped collect evidence submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement by local agencies and processed DNA.
The governor also analyzed a gun and participated in an exercise with the cybercrimes unit at the FDLE's Orlando Regional Operations Center.
It was Scott's 14th such workday doing jobs ranging from making doughnuts to catching shrimp.
He borrowed the idea from former Gov. and U.S. Sen. Bob Graham. It also is a play on his "Let's Get to Work" campaign slogan.
