PUNTA GORDA, Fla. - The Punta Gorda Police Officer who was fired for misconduct earlier this year will be fighting to get his job back Friday.
That's when Harvey Ayers will have his appeal hearing. The former Police Officer was kicked off the force in August after an investigation revealed he violated several department policies by letting a female Charlotte Corrections Officer ride along with him while he was on duty and let her act as a back up officer.
