Bee invasion in Lehigh
LEHIGH, Fla. - A buzzing problem in Lehigh. One beehive contains thousands of bees and it's causing many problems for Angela and her family and other neighbors.
"It keeps on getting bigger and bigger my kids are allergic to bees in the afternoon we can't even come outside," said Angela.
The hive is next door located under an electrical box on an abandoned home.
"There are days they are calm," said Angela.
So hoping to get rid of the nasty beehive, she made several phone calls but no one would help including the sheriff's office, the tax collectors office, and the County.
We did some research and found out the home across the way here with the beehive is in force closure and is owned by the mortgage company. We called a number on the front door they are the property managers and they told us they were out here in July killing the bees.
But Angela says the beehive has been there for at least the past year. According to Tempco Pest Control, in this case homeowners have the right to take matters in their own hands.
After all was said and done, Tempco went out to that Lehigh home and killed the bees free of charge.
