BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Lee County's Highway Interdiction Unit stopped two Miami men on I-75 in Bonita Springs and found pot and altered credit cards.

It started last night with a traffic stop at mile marker 116 when a detective spotted a Dodge Durango changing lanes causing another driver to swerve and hit the brakes.

During the traffic stop the driver 32-year-old Adalberto Rodriguez and his passenger 35-year-old Yonsley Ruiz appeared extremely nervous.

The detective could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle and a subsequent search of the pick up uncovered a gram of marijuana and 15 fraudulent or altered credit cards.

The two suspects purchased $2,000 in merchandise using the phony credit cards.

Both men face charges of trafficking in counterfeit credit cards and possession of marijuana.
