Early morning shooting sends Fort Myers man to hospital
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police are investigating a shooting at 2825 Central Avenue that sent a 21-year-old man to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Police say Antonio Crews of Fort Myers was in his car in the parking lot of the Sunrise Towers apartment complex when another car pulled up next to him.
Shots were fired and Crews was wounded. He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police have identified the suspect in the case and are actively looking for him.
Anyone with information is asked to call FMPD at 321-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can remain anonymous.
