Case of body found in concrete declared homicide
WINDER, Ga. (AP) - A possible break in the case of a missing former journalist from Florida as police think a body found encased in concrete may be his.
Authorities say they have declared the death of a man whose body was found entombed in concrete in the back yard of a northeast Georgia home a homicide.
Winder police officer Chris Cooper said Wednesday that medical examiners were able to make that determination because of the number and location of the man's injuries.
Police in Winder and in Pensacola, Fla., have said they believe the remains are those of 30-year-old Sean Dugas of Pensacola, who had been reported missing. Once they have confirmed the identity, the next step will be to determine where the death occurred.
Georgia authorities on Monday arrested 31-year-old twins Christopher and William Cormier at a home being rented by their father. They face charges of concealing a death. It wasn't known whether they have attorneys.
