North Naples fire leaves 2 homeless
NORTH NAPLES, Fla. - North Naples firefighters responded to a call shortly after 1:30 a.m. to the Naples Bath and Tennis Club and found smoke pouring from the roof of a three story unit.
Firefighters called for a second alarm at that point and units from Golden Gate, East Naples and the City of Naples responded to help battle the fire that was making its way through the attic portion of the building.
The two lone residents of the building got out safety but unfortunately all nine units in the building were left uninhabitable.
It took 35 firefighters two hours to get the fire under control.
The Red Cross is helping the residents.
Firefighters tell FOX News that the blaze does not appear suspicious, but the State Fire Marshall is on the scene investigating.
