Shooting investigation in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS - The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened early this morning.
It happened on Winkler Avenue near Colonial Boulevard.
Upon arrival police located a vehicle that had left the roadway and crashed in a ditch. Officers learned that the two people inside the car were victims of a shooting.
They were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital. The victims have been identified as 33 year old Michelle Fletcher and 21 year old Quayshun Lewis.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call FMPD at 321-7700, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS
