MARCO ISLAND, Fla. – One person is dead and another person is in jail after a hit and run crash on Marco Island.
Police discovered a Jeep wrecked in the 1400 block of Jamaica Road early this morning after officers say the Jeep rolled over at least once.
20-year-old Shayne Murray was found dead on the scene just a few feet from the wrecked SUV.
Officers later tracked down 22 year-old Andrew Roubicek, who is a known friend of Murray's.
Police say Roubicek admitted to wrecking the jeep and fleeing the scene. He's now being held at the Collier County jail.
