Semi accident closes down SR 31 in Charlotte County
NORTHEAST CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - An accident involving a semi truck shutdown a portion of State Road 31 near Neal Road in northeast Charlotte County Monday morning.
The big rig overturned and emergency crews had to extricate the driver who was flown by helicopter to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office says the roadway re-opened shortly after 11:30 a.m.
