Fort Myers records 20th homicide
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police are investigating the city's 20th homicide of 2012.
A couple out for an early Sunday morning stroll along the Caloosahatchee River came upon a man lying on the Tarpon River Pier.
The couple called police and emergency medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.
This morning police said they had identified the victim and were working to notify his family.
Investigators say they believe they have identified a suspect in the case as well.
