Lehigh Acres man sent to prison for child porn
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A Lehigh Acres man will spend 84 months in federal prison for possessing child pornography.
U.S. District Judge John Steele also ordered that 41-year-old Eugene Robert Otting to serve a 15-year of supervised release once he completes his sentence and to register as a sex offender.
Otting forfeited his laptop, a cell phone and a hard drive he used to commit the crime.
Otting, who pleaded guilty in June, used the Internet to locate and download child pornography. He admitted to investigators to using peer-to-peer file sharing programs to access the porn and created Facebook accounts and an email account to share the porn.
Otting had more than 600 images of child pornography in his possession.
