NAPLES, Fla. - Grand Rapids, Michigan did it! Now Southwest Florida wants to give it a try.
A lip-synching video shot in Michigan went viral with close to 5 million hits on YouTube. The video features dozens of people lip-synching to "American Pie."
Radio personality Dave Elliott of 98.9FM WGUF was inspired to do something similar in Naples after seeing the video posted on YouTube from Michigan.
The video in Naples will be shot in one take on Sunday, October 29th. The video will start on Third Street South and end at the Naples Pier. The video will be posted on YouTube and used for travel and tourism promotions. A premier will be hosted at Silverspot Cinemas once complete. Thousands are invited to participate in the lip-synching video.
