Armed Robbery at Goodwill in North Fort Myers

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla.---The Lee County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public’s help in apprehending a suspect wanted for an armed robbery that occurred on Sept 24, 2012 at Goodwill store located at in North Fort Myers.

Deputies responded to the scene approximately 12:06 p.m. and met with the victim who stated while on duty working the checkout area an unknown male walked up and passed the victim a note. The note instructed the cashier to remove all of the cash from the register and give it to suspect. The victim stated that the note also implied that the suspect had a handgun. The victim immediately opened the cash register and gave the suspect undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect took the money and left the store through the front entrance. The victim notified her supervisor on duty who expediently notified the Lee County Sheriffs Office.

The suspect then fled the area in an unknown direction possibly in a white sedan.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is identified as a white male, late 30’s to early 40’s, medium height, medium build, some gray facial hair, last seen wearing a dark ball cap, blue t-shirt with “Florida” in orange on front, blue jeans, and sneakers.
