Body found during morning walk in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police are investigating the death of a man found lying by the side of the road early this morning.
The incident in the 4100 block of Desoto Avenue began when a neighbor walking her dog found a man lying by the side of the road.
Police responded with emergency medical personnel and found a deceased man.
Police identified him as 67-year-old Jorge Velazquez. They say he was lying in front of his home.
Investigators are treating this as a suspicious death until an autopsy is performed.
