South Fort Myers man arrested for trying to use 911 to call his parents
SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - A South Fort Myers man decided to use 911 to reach his parents and that resulted in his arrest.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says 39-year-old Justin Lawrence Gillespie made series of phone calls to Lee County 911. Gillespie told the 911 dispatcher he was out of cell phone minutes and that he needed them to call his father.
Gillespie made two calls to 911 on Thursday and records show that he had made a total of 13 calls to 911 since September 11, 2012.
Gillespie was arrested for misuse of 911.
