Cape Coral man killed in I-75 crash
SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. - A 46-year-old Cape Coral man died Wednesday in a single car crash near mile marker 171 in Sarasota County just north of the King's Highway exit.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Kenneth Paul Jones was driving southbound in his Kia Sorrento when his car began to drift across the highway with his tires hitting the grass center median.
The FHP says Jones over-corrected sending his car to the west side of the road into the grass shoulder. The car went into a wooded area where it hit a tree sending the car into a spin.
Jones suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
