Housekeeper charged with stealing jewelry in Collier County
NAPLES, Fla. - Collier County deputies arrested 33-year-old Racheal Ireland for stealing rings from a home that she worked at as a house cleaner.
The victim reported to investigators that two valuable rings went missing sometime between August 1, 2012 and September 12, 2012. One ring was a blue/gray gold sapphire ring valued at more than $6,000. The other ring was a 3 carat diamond ring valued at $50,000.
The investigation led to the housekeeping crew and Racheal Ireland confessed to taking the two rings while working in the home on two separate occasions and pawning them in Lee County.
Detectives found the ring had been pawned at E-Z Cash for Gold in Lee County for $600. Investigators found the ring but the diamonds had been removed.
Ireland faces a charge of felony grand theft.
