Obama or Romney? Time is running out for you to choose
The deadline to register to vote is October 9th
WFTX - If you want to have a say in who's your president, time is of the essence.
The deadline to register to vote is now three weeks away.
If you're not registered by Tuesday, October 9th, you will not be eligible to vote in the big election in November.
Florida law requires that you be registered at least a month before an election.

In addition to the officer of President, the November election will also decide you represents you in Congress, Tallahassee and a number of local offices - from sheriff, to county commission, to school board.
Don't want to wait in line to vote on election day (November 6th) or during early voting days? Florida law allows you to vote from home by requesting an absentee ballot. Your local elections office will send you a ballot in the mail.
Anyone who's eligible to vote is permitted vote by mail. You do NOT have to be out of town to qualify for a mail-in ballot.
