I-75 back open after multi-vehicle accident
FORT MYERS, Fla. -- I-75 now open after a multi-vehicle accident shut down the south bound side of the highway near the Luckett Road exit for several hours tonight.
According to witnesses the driver of a van traveling northbound lost control and hydroplaned into the southbound side of the road.
That's when a semi hit the van causing a chain reaction of collisions. We talked to some of the people involved in the crash who didn't want to be identified.
Again - both southbound lanes are now open -- and several people involved in the crash were injured -- but none of them were life-threatening.
