A story out of North Dakota has Fox 4 viewers talking.

An 18-year old former college football player claims he was kicked off the North Dakota State College of Science football team because he's gay.

Jamie Kuntz is no longer suiting up for the team after sharing a kiss with his 65-year old boyfriend. He says he was kicked off the team after the kiss happened in the press box during a game. He says he lied to his coach about the kiss initially, saying he was kissing his grandfather.

He says he apologized twice to the coach before being handed a letter by the head coach dismissing him from the team for detrimental conduct.

We asked our Fox 4 Rising viewers what they thought about the matter on our Facebook page and got several responses.

David Squishyosaurous Reyes writing in:  "Oh, Americans and their homophobia. That's a terrible thing, why would they do that?"

Louis Bernard writing in:  "Should've never lied."

After getting kicked off the team, Kuntz says he has voluntarily withdrawn from the school and says he may consider legal action against the school.
