FORT MYERS, Fla. - A Fort Myers man is in the hospital with life threatening injuries after being shot Wednesday evening.
Fort Myers police were looking for a person of interest who fled on a bicycle.
The victim is a young black male between 15-20 years old. He was found shot in front of a home on the 3400 block of Latana Street and Brookhill Drive near Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. A crime scene unit and police tape roped off several blocks as police were seen talking to neighbors.
The home and a car in the driveway were struck by bullets.
