Teenager hit in San Carlos Park by unlicensed driver
SAN CARLOS PARK, Fla. - A 14-year-old high school student was struck as he crossed the street by a Chevy Suburban in San Carlos Park early this morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Giovany Richard stepped out in front of the Suburban because his vision was blocked by another vehicle making a right turn at Constitution Circle and Adams Circle.
The teenager suffered serious injuries and was transported to Health Park Hospital.
The FHP cited 28-year-old Jose Manuel Herrera Torres for driving without a license.
Richards was cited for leaving a safe place and stepping in front of a vehicle
