Events to remember 9/11 in Southwest Florida

WFTX - There are lots of events around Southwest Florida today to remember the tragic events of 9/11.

Staff and faculty at East Lee County High School are hosting a memorial ceremony at 8-a.m. outside the school's main entrance.
The J.R.O.T.C. will conduct the ceremony for the laying of the wreath.


In Collier County, at 9:30a.m., a September 11th event will be held at the Golden Gate government center. The Collier County Sheriff's Office color guard and bands from local schools will be on hand.


Lee Memorial Blood Centers are hosting a blood drive from 8.a.m. to 4 p.m.
You can donate at the Bonita Community Health Center, the Cape Coral Hospital, Summerlin Crossings, or Lee Memorial Hospital.

The Police Association of Cape Coral, (The Cop Shop) will be holding a ceremony of remembrance at 4423 SE 16th Place in Cape Coral. The ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m.
