Charlotte Co. first responders receive state-of-the-art training
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - Some local first responders are getting training that most law enforcement agencies are not even providing yet.
Charlotte County deputies take part in what's called "first five" training.
It uses state of the art equipment to prepare deputies to treat themselves and fellow deputies in an emergency situation.
They do it by using downed officer kits to treat colleagues who may be involved in critical injury situations.
All sheriff's deputies and correctional deputies in Charlotte County will get the training
