ATV accident kills Cape Coral man
CAPE CORAL, Fla.- A Saturday evening ATV accident claimed the life of a Cape Coral man.
Lee County Sheriff's investigators say 20-year-old Jon Wesley Anderson was driving an ATV with 29-year-old Cassandra Susan Becker in a heavily wood area near Burnt Store Road and Durden Parkway.
Investigators say Anderson entered a curve at a high rate of speed, lost control of the ATV and tipped over to the right. Anderson over-corrected causing the vehicle to flip striking a stump. The ATV came to rest on top of Anderson, who was not wearing a helmet.
Becker escaped the crash uninjured.
