Two men electrocuted on Fort Myers Beach

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - Tragedy on the job site. On Friday afternoon two people in Lee County are dead after being electrocuted while at work. The Lee County Sheriff's Office says the 2 men were doing building maintenance in a cherry picker on Fort Myers Beach when they hit a set of power lines.

37-year-old Juan Bocanegra of Fort Myers and 30-year-old Dustin Manning of Bradenton were both killed when the cherry picker they were in hit the power lines. It appears they were accidentally electrocuted. They were working on Bella Lago Drive in a condominium complex at the time of the accident.

Bocanegra was working for J. Baller Construction at the time of the incident. Manning was working for Cutting Edge Moldings.

The medical examiner's officer is working to determine the official cause of death.
