CAPE CORAL, Fla. - If you live in Cape Coral, you could soon be paying more in taxes. Cape city council held a special meeting tonight to discuss a millage rate increase.
The rate hike would mean a more than 2 percent millage increase for property owners.
Tonight, a tentative millage rate was approved six votes to two. Mayor Sullivan and Councilman Leetz the only two voting against it, saying they will not approve any tax increases.
The final vote will be on September 20th.
