FORT MYERS, Fla. - A dog trapped in a burning house is saved thanks to fire officials in Lee County.

The fire breaking out around 1120am at a home on Frank Road in San Carlos Park.

Fire crews say when they got on scene, they found one room fully engulfed in flames.

No people were inside, but there was a little dog, whose barks were heard by the firefighters. They were able to get him out safely and get the fire under control in about ten minutes.

We're told the dog is doing OK. The Red Cross is helping the family that lives in the duplex find another place to stay tonight.  The fire marshal is investigating the cause.
