FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - A good Samaritan rescued six men after their boat capsized 30 miles west of Sanibel Island on Saturday.

The men were found clinging to the hull of their 23 foot center console boat.

The owner of the capsized boat says they departed on a late night fishing trip on Friday and a large wave capsized their vessel leaving them unable to radio a distress call.

The men took turns sitting on the hull of the boat until help arrived.

A Coast Guard boat crew from Station Ft. Myers Beach rendezvoused with the good Samaritan and embarked all six survivors. The men were transported back to the station where local emergency medical personnel were waiting.

One survivor was reported to be mildly hypothermic and had minor cuts.
