Hidden fees at hotels
If a hotel is in your Labor Day weekend plans, read your bill carefully at checkout.
Hotels have several ways to sneak in fees that can add up during your stay.
Guests will notice the most common fees: things like wireless internet, phone calls, cancellation and early departure fees.
But other, less obvious fees include:
- Mini-Bar Restocking Fees
- Charges For In-Room Safes
- Extra Charges For Using The Hotel's Business Center, Even Fees For Receiving Packages Or Express Mail
- Automatic Room Service Tips
- Fees For Holding Baggage After Checkout
