FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - A gas leak forced an evacuation at a popular spot on Fort Myers Beach.
The Pink Shell Resort evacuating its guests and staff around 11:30 this morning. Officials say a crew working in front of the resort hit a gas line that goes to the resort's pool heater.
Crews with TECO peoples gas were able to repair the line, were told the resort has re-opened to guests tonight.
